Bed Time Stories

I love listening and watching Joe read to Jack! I love the funny voices Joe uses, I love how much enjoyment Joe gets out of snuggling up with his son, and I love how Jack really just wants to eat the book rather then have it read to him!

Amy and Zhenya get Hitched!

We celebrated Amy and Zhenya's wedding last weekend and it was beautiful! The ceremony was in downtown Dayton at Holy Trinity a small old Catholic Church in the Oregon District! And the reception was in the Mom's gorgeous back yard! It was a wonderful celebration of an adorable couple!

Congratulations you two love birds!!

Amy was in town for 3 weeks and Zhenya for 2! The Norway Rickes are in town as well as the Buckleys from
New Zealand! We have been so lucky to have all of this memorable family time!!

They are just so happy together and we feel blessed to welcome Zhenya into our family!

The Everyday!

Jack is at a great age to play and be silly with! He is on the move all over our house and loves the upstairs windows that are just his size! He is constantly blowing raspberries!  Rox and Jack could spend all day at the window!

We love our family play time! Jack is in the most playful, silly moods in the mornings and after dinner!

Camping in the mountains!

We were so lucky to get to spend Fourth of July weekend camping in West Virginia for a family reunion on Grandma March's side of the family! The weather was perfect and we had a wonderful time visitng with the Snyderburn/Andrews clan! We played cards, swam, fished, ran up a mountain!, walked in the beautiful valley, and spent a lot of memorable time visitng with family!!

Jack and cousin Johnny playing together!

Many of them enjoy playing with guns and showing of their shooting skills! Joe learned a lot from his Dad!

We drove up the mountain and got to go to mass at this beautiful little church!

Everywhere you looked was just gorgeous and so peaceful! This was the view Joe and I got to enjoy on our run!

I just think this picture of Jack and his Grandpa is the sweetest! We kept jack up very late to catch the fireworks!! Luckily we brought Jack's ear plugs because the echo we got to hear off the mountains from the fireworks was amazing but very loud!

Ten Months!!

This watermelon loving, redheaded, crazy monkey man is 10 months old already!! Jack has grown so much this month! We can't keep up with him when he speed crawls all around and pulls himself up on everything! Our family love loves the summer so this month has been perfect!

We've been biking swimming and playing outside every chance we get! Jack makes us laugh so much - just this month he has really started copying everything!

He's learned "how big is Jack?" "SO Big!" In English and German which is so fun! He knows sign language for "more" when he wants more to eat! He laughs at all our silly faces and he loves when Joe chases him as he quickly crawls away cracking up laughing!

He is just becoming such a little man! He is wild and crazy and climbs all over us. He is making a lot of new sounds and he has become a great eater! He eats with us at dinner each night and will eat whatever we serve ourselves! He sits in his chair and shoves that food in his mouth so fast! His favorites are kiwi, bananas, stir fried vegetables, eggs, chicken and goetta (a good Cincinnati German!)

He still loves the park, loves to explore new places and is really noticing when his mama and papa leave the room!

Keep on being our little explorer - we love you buddy! Happy 10 months!'
