Four Months!

Little Josie Rosie is 4 months and smiley and cuddly and cute! I love the time between 3 and 4 months they start to show their personality and start to laugh more. 

 

Josefine started rolling this month and has started holding and playing with toys! She also loves to look at herself and giggle at herself in the mirror. 

 

 

The kids continue to be obsessed with her! They run into my room when she wakes up in the morning to cuddle her, argue over who gets to lay on which side of her, ask to hold her, argue over who gets to sit in front of her to play with her vs. who has to sit off the the side a little, talk to her, make her laugh, read to her, show her every picture they’ve colored, tickle her , and run to tell me every time she has rolled over or made a “talking” noise! Jack even said the other day “if you ever have more kids I would love another sister because they are just the cutest” 

 

Jack also told me the other day “Mama, look at how cute and squishy she is! I just LOVE this age!”

Life Gets Busy!

Well it’s been too long since I’ve blogged and dumped a bunch of pictures of the kids for me to remember!  We’ve just been on the go over here and having a blast!

 

 

Jack’s gotten into the world of little legos and loving it! He likes to sneak off into his room for “big boy time with little legos.” And

Both kids have been loving their CD players! We make many trips to the library to get new books on CD!

 

 

 

This little lady keeps us laughing all day! She says the funniest things and will do anything for a laugh! She also loves to dress up just like jack always has!

 

We’ve unfortuantely had some snowy days mixed in until April this year so on one particularly snowy March day the kids and I made popcorn and got really cozy on the 3rd floor to watch a movie together! (Polar express of course since that’s the only move they think exists - ha!) I’ll take snow day cuddles with these kiddos anyday!

 

Big news this month we upgraded to a van! Our kids get pretty enthusiastic about everything and jumped around yelling “it’s van day it’s van day!” On the day we went to pick it up! 

 

 

 

In this picture they are all cuddling on the top bed of jack’s bunk beds and Elisabeth was telling jack that he’s the brother and he always has to take care of her and baby Josefine! Lately Jack has been sleeping in until about 830/9.  This particular morning I finally went in at 9:15 and put the girls in bed with him to wake him! He loved it! It is pretty funny though on mornings I have to wake him before 8 he will put a pillow over his head and say “Mama I’m not awake yet please leave my room.” (4 going on 15...🙄)

Jack was asked to help Joe a bit outside clean up and take out the trash - he took his jobs very seriously (and recruited a little help)

 

 

 

We’re starting to see some warmer weather and getting so excited to play all day outside! Jack said the other morning “gosh I just love the mornings when the sun shines in and just looks so pretty!” I hear ya buddy!!

Also, I hope to never forget these conversations between the kids:

Elisabeth: “jack! Look at my picture I colored”

Jack: (putting his arm around Elisabeth as they both stood and stared at picture on the fridge)” Elisabeth, that is beautiful but next time maybe try to color the rocks gray instead of orange to look more like real life”

Elisabeth: grunting to try to open a marker cap

Jack: (without even looking up from his own coloring) “Elisabeth, stop, take a deep breath and try again” #sonofatherapist

Jack: “Mama I am the fastest runner in the whole world and Elisabeth is the slowest runner in the whole world”

Mama: “jack that’s not a very nice thing to say about Elisabeth”

Jack: “well Mama it’s just because I’m faster than her”

The other night I closed Elisabeth’s bedroom door for bed and as I stood outside of it I heard her singing herself to sleep with the Hail Mary - my heart totally melted! 

Three Months!

Three months with our sweet Josefine! She’s just such a good baby and we love her to pieces! She smiles and laughs, coos and has started grabbing her toys. She pushes up on her arms when she’s on her belly and likes to be near the kids as much as she can! She’s growing so fast! This month we went to Chicago and her first trip to Cleveland where she got to meet more of the March family! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

She often gets these big eyes like “what are you doing

 

 

 

 

Elisabeth cracks me up because she is still so motherly to Josefine! She rushes over to her every time she cries and says “oh my! Oh baby Josefine it’s ok I’m here now it’s ok! Oh baby I’m here!” All while kissing babies head and cheeks and hands.

 

 

 

 

Never a shortness of love for you sweet baby! Happy 3 months Josefine Rose!

Two Months!

Sweet Josefine is 2 months old already! Baby girl is growing so fast and is already so big! My kids chunk up pretty early on and she sure is living up to that!

 

 

 

She still sleeps a lot as you can see from the pictures!  She’s having a little more time awake and has a few fussy hours each evening before bed. Her nighttime sleeping has been great so far! Basically she fusses when she’s tired otherwise she’s been pretty easy going!

 

 

 

This month she went swimming for the first time, started smiling at us, went to her first Xavier game, got to visit with Tante amy and meet Uncle Zhenya and got to meet her brand new cousin (and future best friend) Thomas, who was born this month!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Elisabeth is so motherly to Josefine. She tells me many times a day “I just love baby Josefine!” She always tells me that baby Josefine kissed her or tickeled her and she gets sooo excited! Jack is a great older brother and looks after Josefine a lot. He needs his daily snuggles with her and is constantly worried about her that she’s safe or comfortable or needs me.

 

 

 

 

 

We love you Josefine Rose! You steal our hearts and everyone in this family is completely smitten with you!
