Christmas 2023!

 Christmas 2023 was so wonderful! We got to celebrate the weekend before in Cleveland with the March family. We went tobogganing in Cleveland during our trip which was a huge hit!  We loved celebrating Christmas with an awesome party of Joe's parents' house!

We then spent Christmas Eve attending mass at Nativity and seeing lots of families in our community and then headed to Mom and Bill's for an epic Ricke Christmas Eve Bash!

Christmas Day, we spent at home and had another super relaxing Christmas day home! We slowly opened gifts, shared a nice breakfast, played with all the new toys, and ended up cleaning out all the toys in the basement per the kids request to "reorganize!"

The day after Christmas we headed to Mom and Bills again for our annual Wetterau Christmas day - brunch, gifts, playing board games, and dinner! It was a relaxing and perfect day being together! 

How blessed we feel to have had another Christmas season full of family and wonderful memories made!

Lots of exciting preparation for Christmas! Advent is just such a favorite time of year for us and I get so much joy out of watching the Christmas magic shine through the kids

The kids were in the choir at the German Heritage Museum St. Nicholas day celebration!  They were adorable!  We went over to perform German Christmas Carols at Oma and Opas  house after - it was  such a treat for Uhr Oma and Uhr Opa!

Saint Nicholas visited!!

Amelia was in town in December with Tante Amy and she got to sit in on the Advent prayer at Charlotte's preschool!

My running group got together for a favorite things party!! such a special group of ladies!

I get together during Advent every year with Liz to bake all our Christmas cookies -this is the only picture I took..

so many winter hikes enjoyed with the family!!  We found the most beautiful nature the day before Christmas Eve!  Then had a snow ball fight in the woods!!
