Charlottesville, VA

Last weekend we got to take a great trip to Charlottesville, VA to celebrate our good friend Audrey and Scott's wedding! Mom, Bill, Stef, Dave, Henry, Joe, Jack and I all went together and stayed at an awesome Airbnb home right in the quaint downtown!

We drove a van down so we could drive with Stef, Dave and Henry - the drive made the trip even more fun!!

Audrey and Scott's wedding was beautiful! We really enjoyed celebrating at a beautiful winery!

On the way home we planned a few stops to break up the drive - a coffee stop (which turned into a tour of Lexington, VA in search of the Stonewall Jackson House), a beautiful hike in the mountains of West Virginia, and a visit to the Charleston, WV brewery!

Jack's First Bike Ride!

For Father's Day we got A baby bike seat to put on our bikes! Pre parenthood I used to bike all over town running errands, visiting friends and travelling to work. I've missed biking and it's so nice to get back out on the bike! Joe also really enjoys biking so this was the perfect gift!

Jack and I brought the bike to Dayton for the day and ran some errands with Oma! Jack must love his new seat or he was just really tired!

So many more bike adventures to come! All week I've been making up places I need to go just so I can hop on the bike again! Joe and I love to hear Jack sing and talk as we zip around town!

2 Lake Houses, 1 Great Weekend!!

We were so thankful on Father's Day weekend to get to fully enjoy 2 beautiful summer days! We visited with the Febus family on Saturday at their lake house and then we headed to Lake Lorelei with my family on Sunday for some Father's Day fun!

We had so much fun watching Jack, Thomas and Evelyn play together! 

We spent a lot of time playing in the pool, visiting with the Febus family, eating yummy food and boating!

Such a relaxing day!! Life doesn't get much better then this!!

I took so many pictures this weekend just trying to capture the perfectness of the weekend, the wonderful people we got to be with, the beautiful summer weather, and the amazing fathers we were lucky to celebrate!

A day at Lake Lorelei is just the best! Family time with not a care in the world! 

We headed up to the beach to watch the father-son card board box races! 

Happy Father's Day Dada!! We loved celebrating you on Father's Day! You are such a blessing to our family. You have shown Jack and I the meaning of hard work, unconditional love, patience, and a strong faith. It is an honor to get to call you my husband and the amazing Father of our son! Thank you for loving our family as much as you do! 

Special days with Grandma and Grandpa!

Last weekend grandma and grandpa came to snuggle their favorite little man! We love when they visit and we especially enjoy watching how completely in love they are with their grandson! They will do anything to make him laugh and jack just adores his grandma and grandpa!!

We were very lucky to have beautiful, warm weather and we spend a lot of time outside!

That same weekend we were so lucky to have a few other very special visitors!! We got to spend time with Shane, Mo, Laura, and Dan! We love when college friends come to town!

We really have very special friends from college that have just been so supportive as Joe and I have taken on the parenting thing and they just show Jack so much love!

Nine Months!!

What a great month we have had! Summer is finally here and our little 9 month old is loving every bit of it!!

He crawls super fast now, stands up on everything, claps every time you say "yay Jack!" Waves when you say "Hi," cracks up laughing when his Papa tickles him and pretends to chase him while Jack tries to quickly crawl away! 

Jack went swimming for the first time this month and went to the splash park! He loves being around the other kids! It took him a little bit to warm up to the idea of water, but now he loves it and giggles when we first stick his feet in!

Our last few weekends have just been so sunny and we have filled them with summer activities! 

Jack even stayed in his first hotel this month when we took a little trip to nashville !

He still likes to snuggle with me before and after nursing and bed and when he is tired he becomes a huge mama's boy! Otherwise he likes to be on the move climbing, crawling, or walking along the furniture grabbing for everything he can! Jack, you are just getting so big and unbelievably cute! We love you little man!!
