A Year of Learning - November edition

November’s science experiment was a shocking one! Let’s just say following this months experiment my laundry habits have changed a bit..

This month we got to test bacteria around the house! The kids had fun coming up with places they wanted to test that they thought might be the dirtiest!

The kids rubbed Swabs on the toilet seat, inside the dogs mouth, on our front door knob, and on both of their blankies. The results were shocking!

Eleven Months!

Josefine Rose is quickly approaching one!! This month she took off with her movement and her personality! She has on several occasions walked by herself across the family room and is a very sturdy stander! She tends to only walk when it’s her idea though! She was our earliest walker at 10.5 months! The other 2 kiddos walked the week of their first birthdays! She’s just so eager to keep up!

She kisses and hugs everyone and has never met a stranger! When we go to storytime she will make her way around the room approaching each kid and hugging any “baby.” She loves to snuggle with us and we just love it!

She loves to be outside and watch the chickens and she loves dogs/Roxie

She climbs on everything and we often find her alone on the third floor because she loves
To climb the stairs.

She likes food and is a good eater but prefers to feed Roxie more than herself!

The kids stuffed her dress with a toy in this picture and were pretending she was a “pregnant mama pushing her stroller” and they also dress her up from time to time - she puts up with a lot!!

Jack put his socks on her with Elisabeth’s shoes. She also always lays down like this and waits for us to notice and laugh 🤣

You are just the best sweet Josefine Rose! Happy 11 months!! We love watching you grow!

A Year if Learning - October Edition!

Month 3 of Tante Amy’s science projects! This month we turned into awesome pirates and hunted for treasure! Jack is especially into anything pirate so this month was a huge hit!!

The treasure cubes were prepared the night before using blue jello, baking soda and water, lots of sparkles and special treasures!

The next day we read a very silly book all about pirates followed by some serious treasure hunting using vinegar, paint brushes and liquid droppers.

It was so cool to watch how quickly the vinegar melted the frozen treasure cubes

What a fun activity this was!! Another great month of learning a new science experiment!
