Strawberry picking!

Summer has officially arrived when you head to the farm to pick strawberries!! We always head to Stokes Berry Farm in Wilmington, Ohio and it never disappoints. This year our neighbors went along and we had a great time! We’ve been blessed with meeting some wonderful new families on our street. 

This girl got her shoes and accessories all ready for strawberry picking! 

Jack and Elisabeth took picking very seriously and they did so well filling up their baskets! We came home with so many yummy berries!

This one took her job of eating the berries  VERY seriously! 

This grown up (almost 4 year old!) reminds me so much of my sister Amy - strong, confident and full of spunk! Just love her and can’t wait for her to hang out with Tante amy again when she returns to the US! I think they will hit it off well! 

Easter, Indy and Omi’s Birthday

We had a beautiful Easter celebration in Cleveland this year (with a brunch at my Moms the Sunday before Easter). The kids really enjoyed the celebration and liked having time with both sides of the cousins!

These kids loved looking for baskets this year! Easter Bunny hid them pretty hard and they didn’t give up!

The March family is growing and the kids love their sweet baby girl cousins!!

We went to Joe’s Aunt and Uncles house and they have a beautiful house on nice land! The kids got to do a big Easter egg hunt with all the cousins kids (great grandchildren) and then  we got to walk and see the neighbors cows!

A weekend after Easter we headed with the Meyers to Indianapolis to visit the children’s museum and stay overnight at a hotel with a pool! We had such a blast!! 

The children’s museum is as great as everyone talks about! The kids especially loved the outdoor sports experience - we spent several hours outside. All the sports are made in kid size and we lucked out with beautiful weather!  Stef and I even walked the babies around the outdoor track at the museum for several miles while the babies napped!

Omi turned 59 in May and Stefanie and I and the 6 kids decided to surprise her at work on her late night at Xavier! We arrived with 6 very excited kids, dinner, muffins and gifts! She was soo surprised and we had a great time celebrating our special Mama/Omi!!

A Year of Learning - April Edition

April was a very special science experiment! Tante Amy and Uncle Zhenya sent a very generous gift in the mail for us to experiment with! This month we got to watch and care for 11 caterpillars as they formed cocoons and became butterflies! It was such a cool learning experiment and the kids (and joe and I) really enjoyed watching the process!

I need to still find the pictures from early on of the caterpillars but for now here is the final part of us letting them go outside!
