Three Months!

This pretty girl is 3 months old today!

She is changing so much - she smiles all the time and is a quiet and relaxed baby! She rolled over last week from her back to her belly and is getting stronger everyday. She really enjoys laying on her playmat and swinging her arms and hands at the hanging toys.

This month she attended her first wedding for her Uncle Andrew and Aunt Carolyn and she was a trooper!

She watches Jack all day and smiles when she sees him! He is so anxious for her to be able to play with him! 2 weeks ago they started going to a nanny every Tuesday while Mama goes to work! Jack takes good care of his sister while mama and papa are at work.

She continues to steal our hearts! We love you baby girl!

Welcome to the world Oliver Humbert Meyer!

Another cousin!! We are so excited to welcome sweet baby Oliver to our family - our quickly growing family with now 4 little cousins! The Meyer and March families seem to be blessed in all the same ways! Henry is just 3 months younger then Jack and now Oliver is just 3 months younger then Elisabeth! How special it will be for them to all grow up together! And I fully expect those 3 boys to take extra good care of their little lady Jane!

We just love you so much already baby Oliver! We can't wait to watch you grow and bring your personality into our family!

Besties already!!

Jack's Birthday Celebrations!

We spent a nice labor day weekend celebrating Jack's birthday with my immediate family and Joe's parents!  On Saturday (Jack's birthday) we met my Omi and Opa Bill, Aunt Stefanie and Uncle Dave and Henry at Washington park to play baseball, splash in the water, play on the playground and enjoy a picnic and birthday cake together!  It was a perfect afternoon to celebrate our little 2 year old!

Jack was so lucky to receive such nice gifts from family! He got a balance bike from Omi and Opa, cute new books and sticker book crafts from Aunt Stefanie, Uncle Dave and Henry, and a creative homemade fishing game from Uncle Zhenya and (SUPER crafty) Tante Amy! Jack is loving his new toys waking up each morning asking to "read books!" "ride motorcycle!" and "Go Fishing and swim with the fisheys!"  We really appreciate all the love and generosity!

Grandma and Grandpa March came to visit on Sunday to celebrate Jack and spend time with our family! The weather was beautiful and hot and perfect! They got Jack a sand castle which he loves! (not sure if its more of a gift for Jack or Joe and I - he could sit out there ALL day!)

We spent the afternoon downtown at Smale Riverfront park and it was such a nice afternoon! We got to splash in the fountains and everyone got a ride on the carousel (including Elisabeth!)  Thank you for taking the time to come spend the day with us! Jack and Elisabeth loved a weekend full of family!

Happy 2nd birthday sweet baby boy! STOP growing up so fast!

Jack is TWO!

Well that was the fastest 2 years of our lives! Our baby boy is 2 years old today! Jack is the sweetest, adorable and most loving little boy!

His personality is so great! He is kind and loving to his little sister, mama and papa and friends, but he also can be very independent and fiesty! He quickly learns people's names and remembers names which I love! His verbal skills are impressive! He has his colors down and can tell you names and objects that start with most letters of the alphabet! He can count to 10 and when he points out objects from the car window or stroller he always identifies objects with color first "blue car" "red truck" "green tree" "yellow school bus." He is really into coloring, trains and trucks. He loves to read and would sit and have us read to him all day if we could! He can identify so many animals by their picture from a hippopotamus to a slug to a pigeon - always learning new ones and surprising us! He love loves his blankie and would take it EVERYwhere if we would let him! He enjoys being around other kids but takes a bit to warm up in new places.

He is curious to learn about new things and soaks everything up like a sponge! He is up to 5 word sentences "run around the baSeball field!" "Mama, come here please" "papa build the train track please" He has turned into quite the rule follower reminding us to buckle him in the car, reminding us to remove our shoes before walking on the carpet, reminding us to leave our food and drinks in the kitchen, reminding us to pray before dinner, and using please and thank you when needed (mostly because he knows it most often is key to get him what he wants!)

SO many great facial expressions these days!

He is growing up to be such a sweet and caring little boy! He always knows when I need a hug and when to say "love you mama" to turn my day around! He impresses us with how gentle and loving he is to Elisabeth and I just melt watching her smile at him!

Happy happy birthday sweet Jack! You are so loved and bring us SO much joy!
