We had a wonderful weekend celebrating her but I won't lie that I was a little choked up as I nursed her to sleep tonight - my baby is one. Joe laughs because with each birthday I always get a little sad - "Elisabeth will never be that little ever again" is a phrase I often say!
Elisabeth has an adorable, sweet personality! She often makes herself giggle, loves to make us laugh, always smiles, is a bit quiet, loves to explore and never wants to miss out on anything!
She has started standing for longer periods of time, claps and dances while standing alone but has only taken one step. She loves to be chased and Wants to be on the move all the time - I could not find her the other day and she had climbed all the way upstairs and was playing in her room. Ms. Independent!
She tries to get as far away from us at the pool as possible!
She still continues her obsession with Jack and always wants to be near him and try to do what he is doing! She has a handful of words - banana (nana) mama, more (mah), Dada and does sign language for more and thank you. She continues to love eating and nursing! She is obsessed with dogs and music - that girl will shake her booty anytime she hears music!
"If Jack can do it so can I!"
We had Omi and Opa Bill, Uncle Dave Aunt Stef, Henry and Oliver over on Saturday evening to celebrate Elisabeths birthday! It was a beautiful evening!
I made her mashed bananas with
Homemade whipped cream on top and she loved it!! Well she loved playing with it!
She figured out the gift opening quickly! She got an adorable pair of shoes from
My mom and bill and wooden farm animals that they brought from Spain! And she got a very cute dress and shorts from the Meyers! They were so generous and we loved celebrating with the family!
Elisabeth has been the perfect addition to our family! We are so blessed to have our sweet little girl! This year has flown by and we have loved watching her grow and develop her personality! Our hearts are so full - happy first birthday Elisabeth Jane! We love you so!
