Lazy days!

We have spent a lot of summer days just hanging around the house, getting some projects done and spending afternoons at the pool! The kids could play together all day in the backyard so there isn't huge motivation to pack up and head out!

4th of July!

We had such a memorable 4th this year. Tante Amy was in town and aunt Tina and her kiddos are in town this summer from New Zealand! With 4th of July falling on a Tuesday, the whole family decided to head up to the lake house mo day afternoon/evening for a camp out! We had an absolute blast!!

7 families slept over. Most of my aunts and uncles slept inside and all the cousins and kids slept in the tents! Jack and I shared a small 2 person tent and Elisabeth and Joe shared another tent. The kids could not believe they got to sleep outside! More camping trips in our future after seeing how great they did!

With most of younger cousins being in grade school and high school, I'm always so impressed and touched with how much attention they give to our littles. They tAke time to play with them and come up with fun games - it's really sweet!

Elisabeth love loves Tante Amy! She fell asleep swinging with her

We played in the water, took boat rides, played cards, ate yummy food, roasted marshmallows, took bike rides, visited the candy store, played slip and slide and laughed and talked late into the night - a wonderfully memorable lake house trip!

Elisabeth turns 2!!

Our sweet baby girl is 2 already!! Life is flying by and she is turning into a spunky, independent, loving and wild 2 year old!

She has lots of opinions. A language of her own. A personality to keep us on our toes. A way to make us always laugh. And a sweet sweet heart.

She copies everything Jack does and looks to him constantly for approval. She has no trouble keeping up with all the boys and likes to figure out life on her own!

We had a lovely birthday party for her with Omi and Opa, and the Meyer family at Washington park! Playing, picnicing and eating donuts!

Joe made a growth chart/board for Elisabeth and she got to measure herself for the first time! About 2 feet and 10 inches!

Elisabeth Jane you are so sweet! We love you and can't imagine life without you! You and Jack have become the best of friends and spend many hours a day playing and creating games and keeping yourselves busy! I love to watch your relationship build. I love that you're still little enough to snuggle and nurse and I love being your Mama!
