Elisabeth Jane

This girl brings me so much joy! She is playing more on her own with a lot of

Creativity! She loves to care for people and play house and Mama. She is always packing her bags, packing a lunch box and setting up parties for her “friends”. She rarely has clothes on, changes into shorts and a T-shirt as soon as she walks into the house because she is “sooo hot!”

She is getting so big and has such a big personality! She makes me laugh so much!

She’s always loved Roxie the most and takes special care of her! She always makes sure Roxie has food and wAter and every time we leave the house she asks me “Mama can Roxie come with us?”

She was so excited to head to the park to play baseball and have her Papa teach her how to hit the ball!

She changes her outfit about 10x/day. She loves to accessorize and she loves “her superhero shoes” she’s so full of spunk I just can’t get enough of her!

She started preschool with Jack this year on Thursdays at nativity in the catechesis of the good shepherd program! They love being in class together and she really looks forward to

Thursdays! 

Typical second born she has been surprising me lately with her talents! She must watch jack write his letters a lot because today she asked me to tell me the letters in her name and she wrote them! I was shocked!

She also wrote “Papa” and has been drawing so many pictures lately! 

She’s equally obsessed with Her Mama and papa and she’s always looking after Josefine and starting to play some very cute games with her.  Jack is her all time best friend! They whisper secrets to each other, cuddle at night and use so much imagination throughout the day - I’m so grateful for their friendship! 

Ten Months!

You have developed so much this month baby girl! You are signing “more” and “milk”, waving, clapping, saying mama and dada, playing peek-a-boo, giggling at everything, and being more and more aware when we leave the room! You are getting a better handle on nap time and you have a cry/scream that turns heads! 

Mama even went away for a long weekend this month and you rocked your time with Papa!

You have stood on your own for a short time but have the cruising around while holding onto something mastered!

You make the squintiest face when you are excited! 

You have 4 teeth and 2 more coming soon! This allows you to eat so many yummy foods - you sure do like to eat!

You very much like to be included in play and activities that your older brother and sister are doing! And if you don’t like something they do to you you let them know!

Happy 10 months Josefine Rose!! You are getting so big and so darn cute! We Love You!!

A Year of Learning - September Edition

The 2nd month of Tante Amy’s magical science projects continue! September was all about rockets and space! The kids were given a book to read about rocket ships and learning about the planets and space! They were then given a kit to build a rocket launcher and send their rockets to space! We got to do this activity alongside the Meyers (who also had their own kit) while we were together in Michigan! This activity provided endless hours of fun! I think one day of vacation the kids launched rockets into space for 3 hours straight!! 

We got some great action shots! The husbands had to make a few trips up to different roofs to collect flyaway rockets! Jack has always had a big unsterest in space and rocket ships so this months science projects was especially exciting for him! 

Nine Months!

Well it’s been a few weeks but Josefine is now 9 months old! She is growing so much and making so many developmental changes! She stands up and walks along any surface she can reach, she walks behind a walker, she claps, smiles and laughs, plays games with the big kids and will hug and screech at any baby she can get her eyes and hands on! She’s such a social little lady!

She drinks from a straw like a pro, eats lots of

Yummy foods and is still is a very committed nurser!

Jack and Elisabeth are so good at watching Josefine! They entertain her, read to her, cuddle her, get her anything she needs and always tell me when she might be into something that could be dangerous! Josefine has figured out that she can play games with them as well! She screams at them in the car, they scream back and then she cracks up laughing and will keep doing it! Then around the house she gets them to crawl after her and chase her and then she takes a turn chasing them and she laughs so hard! 

She got a built in best friend with that sister of hers! Love watching the 2 older kiddos develop a relationship with Josie!

Time is flying Josefine Rose! You are getting cuter by the second and so engaged and aware of everything around you! We love you! Happy 9 months!
