A Year of Learning - January Edition

January was a cool experiment! The kids learned how to make a cloud! Jack and Elisabeth both thought it was very neat!

We started by reading this adorable book: 

Then we used 2 different temperatures of water inside the glass jar with hairspray and ice cubes to watch the different water temperatures react with the aerosole spray. When we removed the lid of the jar the clouds escaped! 

A Relaxing Night Away!

Joe and I had the special treat of getting away for a night! Joe planned for his parents to be in town to watch the kids and booked us a hotel in downtown Cincy! It was the perfect staycation!

We checked into the hotel right around 3:30 and spent our time getting ready and relaxing! We left around 5:30 to walk around OTR. We stopped in the downtown library to have a look around and then hit up a few new breweries we’ve wanted to check out. 

We ended up being asked by another couple that was also out on a date to play cards with them at one of the breweries which was really fun!

It was so nice to relax together and reconnect! The time away felt easy and we knew the kids were having a blast with Grandma and Grandpa!

Sunday morning we went for a run together and ended our run at Maplewood for breakfast! It was the perfect morning together!
