Our Kindergarten Graduate

Jack has completed all his kindergarten work and the school year is coming to an end! A very strange (and sad) last few months of kindergarten being forced to be home learning through packets and reading with me but he continued on with very little complaining! Jack is such a go with the flow kid. He takes things in stride and does what he is told. He thinks hard about things and asks questions once he’s really thought through something. He’s smart and focused on school work and picks up quickly on math and reading and other school subjects. It was a blessing for me to get to watch him learn the last few months and see how capable and confident he is becoming with reading, writing and math. Your favorite school work of all though is outdoor education so we’ve made sure to spend lots of our at home learning in the woods. He can now read books to his sisters and pretty much write out basic sentences on his own. Proud of all your hard work buddy! You are such a joy!!

Your sisters absolutely adore you, you’re a total mamas boy, you will jump at any opportunity to help papa with a project, you are sweet and sensitive, you keep losing teeth, you take school seriously, you can get lost in books for an hour, you always have some kind of monster truck, stick or rock in your hand, you’re a good eater and a fast runner! You play outside the majority of the day and if you have to come in you dive deep into legos or an art project, you are helpful and you are so easy to love. You have grown so much this year and we are soo proud of you! Please slow down time and stay a kindergartener forever!

Six Months!!

A half a year with our sweet Charlotte! It feels like she has been around for soo much longer and we have been loving every minute of her! This month she hasn’t gone anywhere new (or anywhere at all - hello pandemic) but she doesn’t mind! She’s spent the month taking ridiculously long and uninterrupted naps (without pandemic that would be unheard of for a 4th child so I feel so grateful for this!), sucking her thumb, and soaking up all the attention from her sisters and brother. She continues to sit back and watch quietly with her thumb always in her mouth as our family moves quickly around her! She’s smiles at anyone that will give her attention, she giggles more, and has been doing so well sitting up! She loves to be held and loves to be outside in her swing!

We look for fun things to do around the house during all this time home so when the kids heard it was going to be Charlotte’s half birthday they went all in! We made homemade cupcakes and they made confetti and decorated the back porch and sang to her! We spent all day getting ready

We love you so Charlotte Marie! What a joy you have added to our lives - happy half birthday!!

Well since Charlotte will be 6 months tomorrow and this is the latest I’ve ever posted a month update 🤦‍♀️ I’m going to just say month 5 was awesome! She continues to be the sweetest little baby! Smiley, content, flexible, good sleeper and eater, just all around a joy!! We love you Charlotte Marie!

Love this collage!! It is all 4 kids at 5 months old! What a keepsake
