Never Say Never!
Leading up to having our first child I was pretty sure of a few things. I would tell Joe: "I will never buy a silly play mat and I will never ever buy an oversized bouncy chair, play seat thing - we just don't have room in this house and our kids don't need them..." Lesson learned - never say never! Through a few handy-me-downs from friends we now have both and couldn't be having more fun! Jack loves his new toys!

Jack's Baptism
John Clemens March
December 28, 2013
Saint Mary's Church
4pm Mass on Saturday
Godfather: Uncle Andrew
Godmother: Aunt Stefanie
Jack got to wear the beautiful baptismal gown that Joe and all of his siblings wore! The gown was made by Jack's Great Grandmother and the sweater and bonnet were made by Jack's Great Great Grandmother - so special!
Jack did such a wonderful job throughout the entire mass! After he was baptized he was all tuckered out and fell asleep on Joe for the rest of mass.
Jack's Beautiful Grandmothers!
The March Family
The Wetterau Family
After mass we had everyone back to our house for a wonderful dinner - I made Italian tortellini soup, potato leek soup, homemade rolls, and a delicious salad. Followed by lots of cookies and a beautiful cake Tante Amy made for Jack! It was such a lovely evening with our families!
A Cozy Day with Omi!
The Dream!
Stefanie and I have been talking for years about having babies at the same time and spending those special maternity leave days together with our babies - taking walks, coffee dates, running errands, and laying around the house together playing with our babies! Well the dream has finally come true! Last week baby Henry and Stefanie were ready to get out with Jack and I and it was everything I ever dreamed it would be! I sometimes can't believe how lucky we are to get to be new mothers at the same time and hop around town with our little ones!
This week, despite the below zero temperatures, we have gone out for coffee, went to the mall (with the boys in a double stroller!), nursed together in the kenwood mall nursing mother's lounge, ran errands around town, visited Henry's grandparents, and visited Oma and Opa! We are loving our time together and the boys just sleep through it all!

Christmas in Cleveland!
This year we spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in Cleveland with the March clan! We had such a wonderful visit and such a memorable first Christmas with Jack!
Santa came! Christmas morning was so relaxing! Jack is so spoiled by all his aunts and uncles and grandparents - what a lucky little guy!
We went to a beautiful mass Christmas Eve
He just loves all the attention!
Check out my new leather flying jacket from Auntie Lex! I also got sweet leather kicks from Uncle Andrew and a homemade first Christmas ornament from Uncle Charlie and a beautiful nativity set from Grandma and Grandpa March!
Wetterau Christmas!
This year because Joe, Jack and I were heading to Cleveland for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, we celebrated Christmas with my immediate family the Sunday before. We had such a wonderful day. Since baby Henry was so new we decided to hang out and celebrate Christmas at Stefanie and Dave's house all day - starting with morning mass and brunch and ending late into the evening!
Santa came!!
My Mom always makes such a yummy and beautiful spread for every meal! We are so lucky to have her cook for us! "It's all about the presentation!" - Rose Wetterau
Beautiful babies!
gift opening - The boys got different flavored infused vodka from my Mom, Bill gave us a membership to the Cincinnati Zoo! Jack got awesome Gonzaga sweatpants to match his Mamas from Tante Amy and a beaiutiful book, he got a playmobile nativity from Omi and an awesome crib mobile from Aunt Stef and Uncle Dave. Joe and I got a weekend getaway at a bed and breakfast near Hocking Hills from Stef, Dave and Amy! The sisters got adorable hats from my Mom! We are so blessed and were given so many wonderful things!
A very special gift that Jack got from Omi is a stocking! When Joe and I got married my Mom sewed us matching Christmas stockings (the 2 on the right)! and this year she sewed Jack and Henry each a stocking (the one on the left)! We are so lucky to have a mom that can sew so beautifully!
And how can I forget to mention the gift of our wonderful Husbands! The gift that keeps on giving! Stefanie and I had to snap a picture of our husbands caring for us as we nursed our babies!
A truly memorable, silly and wonderful day with the Wetterau Clan!
