Happy Birthday Opa!

We've recently enjoyed a few summer like days  that southern Ohio likes to throw our way just when we think fall is here. I will never complain about that! I love the heat!

We spent some evenings after work last week downtown by the river and the kids still played in the fountains!

Elisabeth has a "say cheese" face now and it's cracking us up! That girl loves to pose!

We spent a morning relaxing (E took that to the extreme) at Oma and Opa's to visit with Uncle Michael while he is in town from Norway.

And a collection of photos from outings and mornings at home!

Just waiting on the porch for Papa to get home from work - so big! "Mama, I'll be outside watching for Papa!"

Jack started in a little preschool on Thursday mornings for 1.5 hours at Nativity Catholic School called Catechesis of the Good Shephard. A program designed to teach children church songs, prayer and how to care for the church and the altar and to offer these works of their hands to God. Jack is loving it so far!

We enjoy tailgating downtown with Ashley and Justin before the bengals/browns game - enjoying a friendly rivalry ;)

Jack loves to chant "GO Bengals" with Mr. Justin which of course gets Joe all worked up!!

And finally we got to spend a beautiful Fall day at the lake celebrating Opa's 87th birthday! How lucky we are to have such a strong man to look up to. I love that my children have him in their lives - so special!

Fall festivities!

We were able to go to Parkys Farm for their annual Halloween event! My mom sewed us a dinosaur costume when we were kids and we brought it out this year for Jack to wear and he was IN LOVE! Dinosaurs are one of his favorite things so he is beside himself that he can dress up like one! Jack has always really enjoyed wearing costumes (all year, everyday he likes to dress up!)

The kids love to spend time with their cousins! What cuties they are all dressed up! Oliver was the most snugly little tiger ever!!

We also went to a Halloween party in my moms new neighborhood (just another chance for the kids to dress up ;)

Life is full and busy and we love it! It's a mix of activities with the kids and house chores! October sure is a beautiful month in Ohio!

Pumpkin Patch 2016

We found the cutest pumpkin farm this year that the kids loved! It was a working fruit farm that clearly hasn't changed in years. It was simple and even included a long hayride through the farm to the pumpkin patch to pick your own pumpkins. It was just perfect for the kids!

The farmer took the kids on a 10 minute ride all around the farm in these bouncy old barrels! Joe offered to go along with Jack but Jack said "no papa that's ok I'll just go by myself!" He loved it! You can barely see his head poking out of the barrel 3rd from the back ;)

Elisabeth was really set on bringing this one home and she had every intention of carrying it back herself!

Such a festive day and the weather we have had lately has been outstanding! Thank you Irons Farm!
