A Year of Learning - August Edition

To say that my sister Amy is a good Tante is a total understatement!! Before moving away for a year to Baku, Azerbaijan she created a once a month science project for the March kids and Meyer kids to do as a countdown to her return! Each months bag is complete with all the supplies, a book to go along with the theme and instructions to explain the activity for the entire year! She kicked off the year while she was still here in August by getting to do the first month with my kids! They are sooo excited about the 12 bags and keep asking how many more days until the next month! 

August project was learning about rocks, hammering open rocks to find crystals and then the kids learned how to make their very own crystals!

The final product! Jack made blue crystals and Elisabeth made pink crystals! The cutest was that the kids FaceTimed with Henry and Oliver when they pulled out their crystals so they could all see how each others turned out !
