Thanksgiving 2021

We had a wonderful 5 days away in Cleveland for Thanksgiving! We relaxed and spent lots of time with family! In fact, we had such a nice getaway I didn’t even pull out my phone to take any pictures - here are just a few random pics!

We got to celebrate this year with Joe’s extended family! Great company and a massive amount of delicious thanksgiving food! On the Saturday after thanksgiving we celebrated with the March crew followed by a big family sleepover at his parents house with all the siblings and grandkids! So much to be grateful for this year!

Charlotte is 2!!

Our baby is 2! Wow does time fly!! Charlotte is quick to learn, silly, feisty, loves to cuddle, loves to make people laugh, talks in full sentences, very independent, still loves to nurse, isn’t super excited about food, enjoys anything her siblings will include her in, determined, a good sleeper and so adorable! The kids are as obsessed with her as they were the day she was born! Everything she does gets praised by her 3 older siblings!

She is a very dedicated thumb sucker with no intention of stopping! She’s an animal lover and makes friends very quickly - all the snuggles for anyone who will hold her!

We had brunch at our home with family and Charlotte called Oma and Opa to invite them to her birthday! My Oma was so obsessed with her saying on the phone and when she arrived “hi oma will you come to my birthday!” She must have asked Oma 25 times!

The obsession between Oma and Charlotte is equally - Oma just lights up when she gets to spend time with little Charlotte - how lucky is Charlotte to get to spend time with her Great Oma and Opa!!

Happy 2nd birthday Charlotte Marie! You are already growing into such a loving and caring little girl! You give the best snuggles and just can’t get enough of your mama and Dada! You have been so lucky to have so much family time and togetherness spending your first 2 years in a pandemic and we couldn’t be more grateful for all the extra time to spend with you! You make us laugh, you bring us joy and we love you so!! Happy birthday little lady!

Halloween 2021

Welcome Fall! The kids counted down the days to Halloween again this year!! We always let the kids sort through Halloween box downstairs of random parts of costumes and combine them with some of their dress up stuff to create the perfect combo for themselves! This year we had a mummy, a witch, a ballerina (2nd year in a row) and. A clown! The clown costume Joe wore as a little boy! We attended a few events before Halloween - the boyscout Halloween festival and trick or treating at Y and the Halloween parade at school. On Halloween day we had grandma and grandpa in town to trick or treat with us and a Omi and Opa stopped over before heading to the Meyers! It was a great weekend!!

I also ran a half marathon Halloween morning! I missed my personal best time by 2 minutes but still ran an awesome race! I came in 4th place for the queen bee and I for sure left every bit of my effort on the course! I was proud of my accomplishment!

We walked for the full 2 hours this year and managed to make it to so many houses! The mummy was spent by the end! Charlotte totally got it this year and got to try candy for the first time and loved it of course! She said “trick or treat” and “thank you” and doesn’t seem to miss a beat with the big kids these

Josie Charlotte and I went to a fall farm the week leading up to Halloween!
