Advent Season

The preparation for Christmas is always the best! It brings so much joy to decorate the house and light the pine candles and start counting down to Christmas!  It was exciting

We decorated our tree, Saint Nicholas visited, we went to a Saint Nicholas Eve celebration at the Holy Spirit Center, we visited with Oma after she had been sick in the hospital, we played outside a lot and just enjoyed a lot of family time!

The little girls and I traveled with Ashley and her son to visit our college friend Katie in Indianapolis for the day! It was so great to be together and catch up!

Andrew, Carolyn, Maddie and Casey came down for the weekend of Crosstown Shootout! It was so fun to have them and go to the game together!

We went to the Festival of Lights at the zoo!

I got to visit Jack's classroom on St. Lucia day and read a story and help the class make wreaths for their heads - with covid we have had so little opportunity to be in the classroom so this was really fun for me to be there and see his class and watch him interact with his friends!

Jack made his First Reconciliation in December.  Hard to believe this is the year he makes his First Communion.  He took this very seriously.  He was nervous leading up to it but did great and said it felt much better after having done it once.

Jack and Elisabeth had a Christmas concert at school which was fun to watch! I didn't get any pictures of the performance but here is the before!  Everything was cancelled last year with covid so again just exciting to be here and allowed to attend a concert at their school

A really great December/Advent leading up to Christmas! The joy in the kids is just so contagious!
