Settling into the New Norm!

2 weeks in with 2 kids and we are surviving and enjoying our summer!

Elisabeths first visit to the zoo! Jack loved showing her his favorite animals!

Elisabeths first bath..she wasn't a huge fan! Jack thought it was super cool though that we finally got her "all wet!"

Elisabeth's first trip to a brewery - Madtree!

Jack has been really into pillows and asked us for a "pilpow" in his bed! So grown up!

We went to the science of sport exhibit at the museum and jack loved it!!! He is obsessed with baseball and anything and everything about the sport! He wanted to throw the ball over and over! Joe loves teaching him about baseball and rowing!

Elisabeth Jane's Baptism

On Sunday July 5th we had Elisabeth's baptism while her Tante Amy/Godmother was in town from Albuquerque.  The March family (except Auntie Alex) came in town from Cleveland and my whole family (except Uncle Zhenya) were able to attend the baptism.  It was such a special day celebrating Elisabeth becoming a Catholic!

Elisabeth got to wear the baptism gown made by Joe's Grandmother and worn by all the March children and now by Jack and Elisabeth!  It is so beautifully made and was very big on Elisabeth.

Elisabeth was only 9 days old at her baptism!

Elisabeth's Godparents Uncle Michael and Tante Amy!

It was a beautiful baptism at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hyde Park.  The whole family got to sit up on the Altar and gather around to watch Elisabeth receive the sacrament!

We had a very nice party at our house to follow the baptism! Such wonderful time spent with our families!

Siblings!

Jack has been doing ok with his new baby sister and although he does keep his distance at times he also loves to cuddle on her, touch her head and hands, and giggle when he see her. He also is always wanting her to "wate up!"

Jack has had a few tough times since Elisabeth was born and he is definitely loving extra hard on Papa right now! Since Joe has gone back to work I have realized more how much Jack just needs a few extra snuggles, alone time with me to read books or nurse and lots of playtime when Joe gets home from work!

We have been proud of our little guy and the big brother he is being to Elisabeth!

Welcome to the World Elisabeth Jane!

We are very excited to announce that Baby Girl March arrived on Friday June 26th at 4:00 AM! She was 8lbs 1oz and 21 inches long. We are so in love with her and can't believe it's a girl!!

Jack is taking to her well! He giggles when he looks at her and is into touching her little nose and fingers!

We loved introducing Jack to his new baby sister! Melts my heart!

Joe's first reaction was "a girl! What do I do with a girl!?" After just 2 days with her I heard Joe say "I'm obsessed with this little girl! If she wants a pony I'll give her a pony!" Needless to say, he is falling hard and fast for this adorable little bundle!

We are home from the hospital and settling nicely into life with 2 kids! I can only describe it so far as busy and full of excitement! It truly has been a blast! I shed a few tears last night - tears im sure every mom is guilty of "my babies are growing up so fast - before I know it Ellie will be moving out of the house!" I don't think Joe quite understands my anxiety he is a bit better about living in the moment!!

She has pretty much just slept since she was born! I totally forgot how much newborns sleep! Cheers to enjoying that while it lasts! While she sleeps Joe and I have been spending time with Jack just playing and keeping life as normal as we can for him!

Elisabeth had her first doctors appointment and is back to her birth weight, nursing very well and growing like a weed!

Elisabeth got to meet Uhr Oma (the beautiful woman she is named after!) Oma could not get enough of her!!

She has also had snuggle time with her Omi, Tante Stefanie and Grandma and Grandpa who drove from Cleveland the day she was born to meet her!!

We love you sweet Elisabeth Jane! Welcome to our growing, beautiful family! We could not be more blessed!!
